"Perfect Crown" has been generating buzz even before it airs.
The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown (written by Yoo Ji-won, directed by Park Jun-hwa and Bae Hee-young), which will premiere on April 10, is drawing intense popularity even before its broadcast.
Perfect Crown rose one spot from the previous week to rank first in TV-OTT drama buzz in the fourth week of March 2026 in the FUNdex released by Good Data Corporation, a K-content competitiveness analysis institute, two weeks before its first broadcast. It is significant because this is the first time since the survey began that a drama that has not yet started broadcasting has ranked first overall in TV-OTT drama buzz.
In particular, Perfect Crown took first place in both VON (community response, Voice of Netizen) and SNS ranking, which are indicators that make up buzz (survey results from March 23 to March 29, 2026).
Also, IU (playing Seong Hee-ju) and Byeon Woo-seok (playing Iandae-gun), who will pair as the wannabe great noble couple in Perfect Crown, placed third and fourth respectively in the TV-OTT drama cast buzz rankings. As two of Korea's most beloved rising actors meet, reactions expecting the synergy between the two actors are growing.
