Omniscient Interfering View removed the 'replay' of the episode that included translator Hwang Seok-hee's segments.
On the 31st, OSEN confirmed that episode 335 of MBC's Omniscient Interfering View, in which Hwang Seok-hee appeared, currently has its VOD removed.
A recent outlet reported that Hwang Seok-hee committed sex crimes on three occasions, including in 2005 and 2014. According to the report, in 2005 he molested women near Kangwon National University, used violence against those who tried to stop him, and in 2014 he was prosecuted on charges of quasi-rape and illegal filming against a culture center student and was given a suspended sentence.
In response, on the 30th Hwang Seok-hee said on social media, "I am currently reviewing the facts of the matter with my lawyer," and added, "If there are parts of the report that are not factual, unverified, or expressions that go beyond legal judgment, I will consider corrections and legal action."
Despite that statement, his controversy spread and the programs he appeared on were affected. Hwang Seok-hee previously appeared on tvN's You Quiz on the Block as well as MBC's Omniscient Interfering View. In particular, when he appeared on Omniscient Interfering View, he drew attention by saying that he met his wife when a college student sent him an email while he was working as a translator.
After the controversy grew and criticism increased, tvN not only edited the 'You Quiz' VOD but also made YouTube clips private sequentially.
Following 'You Quiz,' Omniscient Interfering View also appears to have deleted the segments of Hwang Seok-hee, whose controversy erupted.<
