A pictorial showing the relaxed mood of actor Kim Sung-Cheol has been released.
On the 31st, his agency Story J Company released several A-cut photos from the April issue of fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar.
In the released photos, Kim Sung-Cheol draws attention by poetically rendering the drowsy yet relaxed atmosphere characteristic of spring to match the "Spring Fever" concept. In front of a blossoming tree just beginning to bud, he gazes somewhere to evoke an emotional feeling, while in the black-and-white photos he strikes restrained expressions and poses to create a natural mood.
In an interview conducted after the pictorial shoot, Kim Sung-Cheol explained why he chose Death Note again, saying, "Maybe it's because I like the character 'L' so much, but it's fun no matter how many times I do it. I thought I would have no regrets after the premiere and encore performances, since there were quite a few shows, but it's strange that I feel 'it's less' and 'I want to do more.'" He added, "I am working hard with the desire for more people to see it and to live up to expectations," expressing his affection for the work and character currently performing.
In a following interview, he candidly shared his outlook on life, saying, "I think you should experience and enjoy a variety of things and approach life with the mindset of 'as if I am a person without limits.' Instead of thinking about enlarging the size of the vessel you have, think about what to put in it; if you're going to do it, put something better in it. I believe that if you fill it that way, definitely better acting will come out."
Finally, Kim Sung-Cheol concluded the interview by answering, "I am very grateful that I can keep working," and adding, "These days that sense of gratitude is a very strong motivator for me."
Meanwhile, Kim Sung-Cheol is currently appearing in the musical "Death Note."
