'Malja grandma' Kim Young-hee confessed that she had a hard time during her rookie days on 'Gag Concert'.
On the afternoon of the 30th, the KBS2 variety show 'Malja Show' aired as a 'office worker special', and empathy guests included comedian Park Young-jin and announcer Eom Ji-in grants.
On that day, 'Malja Show' received the question, 'The job is good, but I hate going to work because of my coworkers. Should I keep working at this company to be okay?'
Kim Young-hee confessed a real experience of being fired from a part-time job because of people, and recalled, "When I started life as a comedian I couldn't adapt either. It was so hard. I was on air from the beginning, and I ended up doing a big segment called 'Two-Person Debate.' But I felt very lonely subconsciously. Friends without segments envied me, but they were always together and had gatherings, and I felt sharp looks directed at me. I had to earn money and work, and I repeatedly broke down and cried a lot as a result," she recalled.
She continued, "During rehearsals many comedians sat and watched. They just whispered, but to my eyes it sounded like they were talking about me. That became a trauma and rehearsals became NGs. I thought they were saying bad things about me," and added, "In front of unfamiliar audiences I did my best and did well, but I always made mistakes in front of comedians who knew me."
She said the senior who gave her strength at that time was Park Young-jin. He said, "At that time, straightforward Park Young-jin didn't say much; he came out in front of the bathroom while I was crying and pressed my shoulder tightly once. It meant 'you have to be strong.' Being a rookie, that gave me the strength to work for a week."
Finally, Kim Young-hee advised, "So it may be a place where you get hurt by people, but you also recover because of certain people. I hope people don't have a workplace life shaken by people, because they become the strength to endure."
