Group Red Velvet member Irene (of SM Entertainment) releases her first solo full-length album 'Biggest Fan' today (30th).
Irene's first full-length album 'Biggest Fan' will have all tracks' audio released through various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 30th, and the music video for the title track 'Biggest Fan' will be released simultaneously on YouTube's SMTOWN channel and others.
This album includes a total of 10 tracks that delicately express the various emotions Irene encountered and realized in daily life, including the bright, energetic pop dance track 'Biggest Fan', making it ample to enjoy an even more expanded musical world.
Also, Irene will hold a special live on YouTube Irene and TikTok Red Velvet channels from 5 p.m. that day to commemorate the release of her first full-length album, where she will talk about her comeback feelings, introduce the album, and share behind-the-scenes of the work, meaningfully celebrating the special moment with fans around the world.
Below is a Q&A Irene provided regarding her first full-length album 'Biggest Fan'.
Q. This is your comeback about 1 year and 4 months after your first mini album Like A Flower released in Nov. 2024. How do you feel?
I'm nervous, relieved and excited. I hope this becomes an album that can be by LOVEs' side whenever they need it.
Q. As this is your first full-length album, you said you voiced many opinions during the process. What part did you pay the most attention to?For this album, I paid the most attention to the overall storytelling so that the included songs could flow as one. And I wanted to convey the message 'My "Biggest Fan" is myself.' I felt that when you believe in and cheer for yourself you can become stronger, and it seemed like something I wanted to say to LOVEs and to myself.
Q. These days, is there something you are so into that you would call it your 'Biggest Fan'?
I'm completely into listening to my album. I'm listening to the unreleased tracks with earphones more than ever. I'm very nervous at the thought that I will soon be able to share them with many people.
Q. When it comes to Irene, you can't leave out talk of performance. What is the point of the title track 'Biggest Fan' performance?
I think the choreography fits this song perfectly. The song's mood and message are reflected in the performance, so I hope people watch the whole stage rather than just one part. There are many point moves, and we prepared by working hard with the dancers on expressions and gestures, so it will be fun to watch.
Q. Among the tracks on this album, which song would you most recommend?
The songs that are most my style are 'Don't Wanna Get Up' and 'Million Miles Away.' They are pop songs with different charms, and I hope they receive lots of love. I'm curious which songs LOVEs will like. (laughs)
Q. I heard that 'Love Can Make A Way' among the tracks contains Irene's autobiographical story. What message did you want to convey through this song?
It conveys reassurance that my past self has always been by my side for the current me, and at the same time contains apologies and gratitude toward the me who has passed through time. I hope those who listen to this song can look back on their own time and offer warm words to themselves.
Q. Following the release of the first full-length album 'Biggest Fan', your first solo concert tour is also planned. Please tell us about your future activity plans.I want to meet LOVEs often and promote joyfully. I'm very excited to greet everyone in various ways after a long time, and I'm happy that this year seems to have more time with LOVEs than ever. I'm preparing hard for the first solo concert tour, so please look forward to it, and I want to make many good memories with LOVEs in each region. Fighting to LOVEs and to me!
