Singer Yong Jun-hyung is leaving his agency to go solo.
On the 30th, Yong Jun-hyung posted on his personal social media, "I have repeatedly requested correction regarding a situation in which the major contractual obligations in the exclusive contract with the agency have not been fulfilled for a long period," he wrote.
He continued, "However, the issue did not improve for years, and I judged that it reached a situation in which it is difficult to maintain a relationship of trust," and "Accordingly, as of March 12, 2026, I have notified the termination of the exclusive contract based on relevant laws, and there has been no separate reply to this date," he said.
Yong Jun-hyung added, "I consider the contract to have been lawfully terminated, and I will continue my activities independently going forward. I will greet you with a better side in the future."
Earlier, Yong Jun-hyung exposed contract conflicts with his agency Black Made in June last year. At the time, he said, "On the day my album was released last year they suddenly called me and said they had to reorganize the label because enterprises increased, and that they would terminate the contract without any conditions."
Yong Jun-hyung said, "When I said I couldn't understand and was embarrassed, they suddenly said let's try again, then within a month or two they unilaterally told me to leave the company. They demanded I pay the money invested by the distributor I never approved or discussed and the damages the company calculated. They cited this and that clause in the contract, but I never did anything that violated the contract after signing it."
He added, "They casually calculated tens of millions of won and told me to pay and get out? I cannot accept that, and when I asked them to manage me until the end as per the contract, they have been unreachable for months. Who is the one breaking the contract?"
Less than a year after the exposé, Yong Jun-hyung ultimately left the agency and plans to continue his activities independently.
