JYP's band Xdinary Heroes (Xdinary Heroes, XH) released a new album mood film that carries a quiet tension.
Xdinary Heroes will make a comeback by releasing mini album No. 8 'DEAD AND' and the title track 'Voyager' on Apr. 17. JYP Entertainment posted a mood film giving a glimpse of the atmosphere of the new album on Xdinary Heroes' official social media channels at noon on the 30th.
The video begins by showing a still space where faint smoke rises. A low resonance spreads, and questions directed at Xdinary Heroes follow, covering name, age, family, love and fear. The cool chime of a singing bowl, eyes trembling over three-dimensional sound, and rapid breathing add dynamic scenes that maximize immersion.
Xdinary Heroes released the pre-release track 'X room' and its music video on the 25th ahead of the comeback. 'X room,' which all members participated in writing, is a song that rewinds the time they held each other like film and conveys a promise that things will get better. The music video, notable for its quiet cinematography, delivers a moving story of characters who exchange small buttons and leave traces in each other's time and space. Fans who watched it praised it, saying, "It felt like watching a short film," "The beautiful scenes and song are so moving I cannot put it into words," and "The song, lyrics, performance and scenery all move my heart."
Xdinary Heroes' new album, their first release in about six months since mini album No. 7 'LXVE to DEATH' in Oct. last year, includes a total of seven tracks: the title track 'Voyager', the pre-release 'X room', 'Helium Balloon', 'No Cool Kids Zone', 'Hurt So Good', 'Rise High Rise' and 'KTM'. All members are credited on the new record and showcased their musical capabilities.
Xdinary Heroes' mini album No. 8 'DEAD AND' and the title track 'Voyager' will be available on various music sites at 1 p.m. on the 17th of next month. On the same day at 8 p.m., a comeback fan showcase will be held at Hwajeong Gymnasium, Korea University, in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
