In the video that day, Sayuri recalled the early days of SNL and told an anecdote about Shin Dong-yeob.
Sayuri surprised everyone by confessing, "I have seen Shin Dong-yeob angry," and "I have seen him angry during a recording." She went on to mention a situation in which a female cast member made a rude remark to her and said, "I was just staying still and Shin Dong-yeob suddenly got angry."
Sayuri said she thought the woman's behavior toward her was rude and that Shin Dong-yeob scolded her on her behalf, and she recounted the moving anecdote that "the next day in the waiting room Shin Dong-yeob met me and apologized again, saying, 'That woman was rude and I couldn't stand it.'"
In response, Shin Dong-yeob recalled, "It was during the recording of 'Hello'" and said, "As a fellow Korean, I felt ashamed and sorry." He added, "She was so rude that I wanted to call her out by name," recalling the moment.
About Shin Dong-yeob, Sayuri said, "He doesn't get angry about his own matters, but he can't stand people who bully the weak," and expressed her gratitude, saying, "Shin Dong-yeob's humane side is so admirable. Since we were drinking, I really wanted to tell this story."
