AKMU member Lee Suhyun confessed she lived as a hikikomori.
Cable channel tvN's variety show You Quiz on the Block released a teaser titled "The story of AKMU that bloomed wide: Suhyun, who went through a long slump, and Chanhyuk, who couldn't give up on his younger sibling" on its official channel on the 30th.
Yu Jae-seok asked Lee Suhyun, "At that time, Suhyun went through a slump?" about the slump. In response, Lee Suhyun revealed, "I really lived for such a long time without seeing sunlight."
Older brother Lee Chanhyuk said with regret, "It looked hard from the perspective of the whole family, but she herself didn't know."
Lee Suhyun spoke about the slump, saying, "I retreated to a corner of the room and started living like a hikikomori. I only played games and ate delivery food. So I lived with the curtains closed. I wanted not to know whether it was night or day."
She added, "I think I binge ate every single day without missing one. When you gain weight rapidly, your whole body feels torn. I had no better future."
Lee Chanhyuk's feelings watching over his younger sibling were also revealed. Lee Chanhyuk said affectionately, "If Soohyun isn't in front of my eyes, if Soohyun reaches a point of no return, I think I would regret it so much."
After living together for a year, Lee Suhyun talked about her older brother, saying, "He kept knocking on the door and asking, 'Did you do cardio today?', 'Did you run on the treadmill?', 'Why didn't you send a photo of your meal?'" and she added, "His mouth doesn't stop, and all I can see is his mouth," revealing this to elicit laughter.
