'Maljashow' Park Young-jin mentioned his experience investing in bitcoin.
On the afternoon of the 30th, the KBS2 variety show 'Maljashow' aired as a special for office workers, and empathy guests included comedian Park Young-jin and announcer Eom Ji-in.
Park Young-jin revealed an episode in which he made revenue by selling his wife's bitcoin.
Jeong Beom-gyun said, "I heard Park Young-jin bought bitcoin in the 300,000 won range, so he doesn't have to worry about money," which surprised those around him.
Park Young-jin said, "I have to tell this, but everyone misunderstands. My wife used to work at a company, and at the time people around her told her to buy between 300,000 and 500,000 won, so she bought and then forgot about it," adding, "Two to three years after we married, bitcoin was mentioned a lot on the news. They said bitcoin had surpassed 5 million won. Then my wife said, 'Oh! I have one of those,' She had bought it for 300,000 won and it went to 5 million won, so the revenue was more than 10 times."
He continued, "My wife listened to me and sold the bitcoin. She got a 10-fold revenue and was so happy. I thought she had become rich. As time passed, bitcoin kept rising. Now it has gone up by nearly 100 million won," adding, "(She's not interested in personal finance) these days I can't assert myself at home. I don't eat foods that contain bitcoin. I don't use detergents with 'bit' in them. I'm so upset. This is why you must study personal finance a lot," he confessed, prompting laughter.
