Group Alice alumnus Sohee announced her retirement from the entertainment industry after getting married, and she shared news of giving birth to a daughter two years into the marriage.
On the 30th, Sohee posted several photos on her personal SNS with the caption "They are my everything, my treasures, so precious that I have kept them quietly." She went on to say, "If I were born again, I would marry my husband again and be Rian's mother," and added, "I love my family!!"
The released photos detailed Sohee during her pregnancy and the process of raising her daughter after birth. The sight of her husband holding their daughter and giving her a piggyback ride, and the three of them dressed in hanbok to celebrate the first birthday create a warm impression.
Earlier, Sohee was the runner-up on SBS audition program 'K-pop Star Season 6 - The Last Chance' in 2017. That same year she debuted in the music scene as a member of Alice, and in 2023 she was active in various fields, appearing on TVING's 'After School War Activities' and others.
Then in April 2024, Sohee announced her marriage to a businessman 15 years her senior and simultaneously announced her retirement from the entertainment industry. At the time, her agency also told OSEN, "It is true that Alice's Sohee is marrying her boyfriend, and although her exclusive contract will soon expire, she will not renew it," and issued an official statement saying, "She will retire from the entertainment industry upon marriage."
They added, "Sohee wanted from a young age to meet someone she loved and quickly build a happy home," and said, "They will register the marriage soon, and the wedding will be a small family-only wedding within the year. It has not been decided whether it will be domestic or overseas."
