The group SeeYa (Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji, Lee Bo-ram) celebrates their 20th debut anniversary by releasing the pre-release track "Nevertheless, Us" today (30th).
SeeYa will release the pre-release track "Nevertheless, Us" through various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 30th and will begin full-group activities for the first time in 15 years.
The new song "Nevertheless, Us" was composed by producer Park Geun-tae, who shared SeeYa's prime, and the three members participated directly in writing the lyrics, adding meaning. It is an emotional ballad that contains the longing and apologies that could not be conveyed to fans over the long 15 years, and the joy of meeting again.
In particular, the members were so immersed in the lyrics during recording that they shed tears and the recording was temporarily halted, and SeeYa's sincerity is fully embodied, promising to give music fans a touching emotional experience.
Earlier, the individual teaser videos of Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji and Lee Bo-ram, released sequentially through the official YouTube channel, drew attention even before the release. In the videos, Nam Gyu-ri looked back, saying, "I was truly sincere when I was in SeeYa," Kim Yeon-ji said, "I poured everything out like a first love," and Lee Bo-ram said, "There were moments I gave up, but there were fans who believed in us," revealing honest feelings about SeeYa's heyday and the 15-year hiatus.
The full music video teaser released along with it also drew a strong response from fans. Against the backdrop of a majestic rocky mountain and a silver grass field, the three members standing together displayed mature visuals while lyrical lyrics such as "Nevertheless, we will ultimately sing, so that wounds do not define us," and "Not a flower of a moment but a tree that endured the seasons," combined with explosive vocal power, raised expectations for the comeback to a peak.
The excitement over the new song's release has already been proven. Tickets for the group's first fan meeting since debut, RE:BLOOM, sold out at lightning speed as soon as they opened, proving the interest.
Above all, this performance is meaningful in that SeeYa members led the overall planning themselves.
From the planning intent of the title RE:BLOOM to the stage composition and each message conveyed to fans, the members carefully prepared everything themselves, completing the precious meaning of the 20th anniversary directly. As it is a reunion after 15 years, it is expected to be a meaningful time to welcome a new season with fans beyond a simple performance.
SeeYa said, "Many things have changed and we have lived shaken, but nevertheless we wanted to cross all that time and stand before the fans," and added, "We hope this song and the fan meeting become a precious answer to the long wait."
SeeYa will release the new song "Nevertheless, Us" at 6 p.m. today (30th), and will hold the fan meeting RE:BLOOM at EDLS in Jongno-gu, Seoul starting at 7 p.m. In May they will make a comeback with a full-length album joined by producers Park Geun-tae and Kim Do-hoon.
