'After School Teacher Taeri' chef Anh Sung-jae once again adjusted his blindfold and awakened the ruthless instincts of a judge.
On the afternoon of the 29th broadcast, tvN's 'After School Teacher Taeri' continued the story of sports day with world-renowned chef Anh Sung-jae.
Kangnam and Choi Hyun-wook prepared dinner themselves for the hardworking Anh Sung-jae. In particular, they proposed a blind tasting to Anh Sung-jae, putting forward a direct challenge, and Anh Sung-jae heightened the tension by issuing his trademark warning, "Are you two okay?" In response, Kangnam said, "I might get hurt, but I'll try my best," and began cooking.
When the formal judging began, Anh Sung-jae put on a blindfold like a scene from Culinary Class Wars and began tasting with Kim Taeri. After tasting Kangnam's first dish, boiled pork, Kim Taeri said, "It's boiled pork," offering a mild appraisal, but Anh Sung-jae's palate was sharper. He criticized, "The meat should have been cooked a little more," adding a keen analysis: "When you chew raw garlic, the garlic aroma rises too sharply." In an interview, Kangnam said, "As expected, chef Anh Sung-jae is sharp. He's really scary," expressing astonishment.
While savoring the chive pancake prepared by Choi Hyun-wook, Anh Sung-jae froze the room with a blunt critique: "Whether it's scallion or chive, the ingredients were cooked too much, so there's a slightly bitter taste in the mouth."
In a later interview, Anh Sung-jae also drew attention by showing the uncompromising standards of a Michelin chef, saying, "At first bite I thought it was a snack. Being too crispy isn't all good," and "The problem is that the ingredients started to burn and the burned taste lingers."
