Singer-actor Nana, formerly of the group After School, whose real name is Lim Jin-a, 35, will appear as a witness in the home invasion robbery case. As Nana was set to face the robber, a man in his 30s identified as A, in court, she said, "It seems like a lot is very wrong."
According to legal sources on the 29th, the Criminal Division 1 of the Uijeongbu District Court Namyangju Branch (presiding judge Kim Guk-sik) will hold the third trial for A, who has been detained and indicted on charges of robbery causing injury, on Apr. 21.
In this trial, Nana, who was robbed by A, and her mother are scheduled to appear as witnesses. The examination of witnesses will be held behind closed doors at the request of the victims.
A is accused of breaking into Nana's residence in Acheon-dong, Guri, Gyeonggi, on the morning of Nov. 15 last year, and threatening Nana and her mother with a weapon in an attempt to take money. At the time, Nana and her mother fought with A, subdued the person, and called police. In the process, Nana and her mother were injured.
In court, A admits entering Nana's home but argues there was no intent to commit robbery.
Regarding this, Nana shared a related article on her Instagram account on the 28th and said, "This is what the law says, so there is no choice but to follow it." She added, "Everyone is very worried, but don't worry. I'll do well and come back," reassuring fans.
Addressing A, Nana said, "I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth," and added, "I'll be watching closely to see how well you act."
A filed a complaint accusing Nana of attempted murder and aggravated injury, claiming to have been hurt while Nana and her mother subdued the person. Police concluded Nana's actions constituted self-defense and did not refer the case, citing "no suspicion." Nana later filed a complaint with police accusing A of false accusation.
