Ratings for Mad Concrete Dreams, which drew attention as actor Ha Jung-woo's return to television drama after 19 years, fell to the 2% range.
According to ratings research firm Nielsen Korea on the 29th, episode 5 of the tvN weekend drama Mad Concrete Dreams recorded 2.6% nationwide on paid platforms.
This is about half of the peak rating of 4.5% for episode 2, and 0.5 percentage points lower than the lowest rating of 3.1% for episode 3.
Mad Concrete Dreams is a suspense drama about a livelihood building owner struggling with debt who becomes involved in a fake kidnapping to protect his family and building, which are more precious to him than his life.
In particular, because the lead actor Ha Jung-woo was making his television drama return for the first time in 19 years since the 2007 MBC drama Hit, expectations were high, so concerns continue over the ratings decline for the series. In addition, with ratings falling week after week, cautious worries are being voiced that it could drop into the 1% range.
Meanwhile, tvN's Mad Concrete Dreams airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m.
