BTS member V said his father also dreamed of being an entertainer.
On the 29th, a new video titled Hello, BTS V here. Please take care of me! was released on the YouTube channel "Yojung Jaehyung."
That day V said he learned the saxophone in the first year of middle school and said, "Around the time I graduated from sixth grade and went up to middle school, I told my father, 'I want to put my dream into practice,' and he told me, 'Then learn at least one instrument.' There is an arts high school, and he said you have to get in there to have a chance," he said.
He continued, "So I saw that drums were 20 to 1, guitar 50 to 1, piano 100 to 1, but saxophone was 3 to 1. So I chose the saxophone," he said.
Jung Jae-hyung praised him, saying, "The entrance exam needs to be that strategic," and V explained, "Yes, so I studied the saxophone for four years." Jung Jae-hyung said, "So your father, in a way, supported you," and V said, "Yes, that's right. Something I heard later when I grew up: my father also had a dream of being an entertainer," he said.
V added, "His dream was to be an actor. So he worked as an FD at Daegu MBC, and because my father wanted to be an entertainer he thought, 'If I work at a broadcasting station, that will do,' but that didn't work out. I'm the case that worked out," he joked.
