Anh Sung-jae, the chef on 'After School Teacher Teri,' returned as a ruthless judge, putting on the blindfold from Culinary Class Wars again.
On the afternoon of the 29th, the tvN show After School Teacher Teri continued the story of sports day with world-renowned chef Anh Sung-jae.
After finishing all events at Yongheung Elementary School's sports day, Gangnam and Choi Hyun-wook set out to prepare dinner to treat the hardworking Anh Sung-jae. In particular, they suggested a "blind tasting" borrowing Anh Sung-jae's expertise, and Anh Sung-jae raised the tension with his characteristic poker face, asking, "Are you two okay with that?" Gangnam, mixing nerves with determination, said, "I think I might get a little hurt, but I'll do my best."
When the meal was ready, Anh Sung-jae, wearing a blindfold reminiscent of Culinary Class Wars, began the tasting with Kim Taeri. The first dish was Gangnam's boiled pork slices. Kim Taeri, after tasting the food, relaxedly commented, "It's boiled pork, boiled pork," but Anh Sung-jae's evaluation was more precise.
Anh Sung-jae began by saying, "I feel the meat should have been cooked a little more," then added a sharp critique: "When I bit into the raw garlic, the garlic aroma came up and it was pungent." In an interview, Gangnam said, "As expected, Chef Anh Sung-jae is very sharp. It's scary," expressing amazement at the strictness of the judging.
Next, Choi Hyun-wook's chive pancake also could not escape Anh Sung-jae's piercing radar. Anh Sung-jae offered a blunt verdict, saying, "Whether it's wild chives or regular chives, the ingredients were cooked too much, so there's a slightly bitter taste in the mouth."
In a later interview, he said coldly, "When I first ate it, I thought it was a snack. It was so crispy, but crispness is not everything," adding, "The problem was that the ingredients started to burn and the burnt taste kept coming through."
