Actor Kwon Hwa Woon drew attention with his marathon record.
On the 28th, MBC variety show 'Omniscient Interfering View' (hereinafter 'Omniscient Interfering View') that aired yesterday featured Kwon Hwa Woon, who is appearing in 'Life 84'.
That day Kwon Hwa Woon introduced himself by saying, "Former actor, current marathoner Kwon Hwa Woon," drawing attention. In response, Yang Se-hyung reacted, "Did you stop being an actor?" adding laughter.
Kwon Hwa Woon completed 13 full marathons in about a year, and it was reported that he recorded 'sub-3'—finishing within 3 hours—at 9 of those races. It is a record that reached the top 1% of amateurs in only half a year.
Yang Se-hyung said, "Even if you finish a full marathon within 5 hours it is considered a good run, and if you finish within 4 hours it is recognized as 'sub-4'," and explained, "Kwon Hwa Woon recorded sub-3 from his first full course."
In response Jun Hyun-moo said, "A record even Sean hasn't achieved," and Yang Se-hyung added, "Talking about sub-3 in front of Sean is a trigger button," provoking laughter. Yoo Byungjae responded, "Such a nice person?" further lightening the mood.
Kwon Hwa Woon said, "I prepared for the marathon while filming a drama for about two to three months," and said, "My first time was 2 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds."
He added that he ran the Osaka, Tokyo and Seoul marathons consecutively over three weeks and recorded sub-3 in all of them, adding to the surprise.
After the broadcast, viewers showed interest with reactions such as, "This is really amazing," "At that level isn't he almost a professional?", and "You can feel the mental strength and talent."
Meanwhile, Kwon Hwa Woon was born in 1989 and is balancing acting activities with running.<
