Meanwhile, KBS2's The Seasons said that they confirmed Sung Si Kyung as the ninth-season MC and chose the program title 'The Seasons-Sung Si Kyung's eardrum boyfriend,' saying that 'eardrum boyfriend' was a name inspired by a nickname representing Sung Si Kyung and reflected a concept that mirrors his sweet tone and musical image.
Meanwhile, Sung Si Kyung appeared on SBS's Running Man, which aired on the 22nd, and candidly revealed his feelings about the name. He said, "There was talk that a name like smiling angel wouldn't be bad," and revealed, "Actually there were other candidates besides 'eardrum boyfriend,'" drawing attention. He added, "Every moment felt a little strange. I just thought we'd make it funny," and "If a female guest appears we'd call her 'eardrum girlfriend,' and if it's a group we'd call them 'eardrum group,'" which turned the set into a sea of laughter.
