Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon expressed his feelings about welcoming a son-in-law.
The KBS2 show 'Immortal Songs', aired on the 28th afternoon, was staged as the 2026 entertainment industry king of singers competition, featuring Kim Shin-young & Chun Dan-bi, LALAL, Moon Seyoon, the Gag Concert 'Chatflix' team, Park Joonhyung, Song Il-gook & Oh Man-seok (musical 'The Hague' team), Lee Chan-seok, Lee Hwi-jae, Cho Hye-lyeon, Hong Seok-cheon and a total of 10 teams appeared.
On that day Hong Seok-cheon announced the marriage news of his adopted daughter and said that the families had completed the formal meeting, receiving many congratulations. He said, "My daughter was a nonmarriage advocate who said she would not marry, so we made no preparations, but a good groom appeared."
He continued, "I saw him and even I thought he was fine. Fortunately, he's not my type. He is a good groom," making a bombshell remark that shook the venue.
Choosing Ailee's "I will show you," Hong Seok-cheon said, "The producers told me to sing a bright, fast song. This song itself is too difficult. There is no space to breathe," and added, "This is a big challenge for me. I'm more for the spectacle than the listening. I'm good at finding gems, aren't I? I have four gem men. I plan to reveal hidden gems," explaining and raising expectations.
Afterward, Hong Seok-cheon, who took the stage, heated up the venue by performing with four shirtless 'gem men' wearing only jackets at the end of the performance.
