Actor Kwon Hwa Woon drew attention with an astonishing marathon record.
On the 28th broadcast of MBC entertainment show 'Omniscient Interfering View' (hereinafter 'Omniscient Interfering View'), Kwon Hwa Woon, appearing as part of Kian84's crew on 'Life 84', made an appearance.
That day Kwon Hwa Woon introduced himself by saying, "former actor, current marathoner Kwon Hwa Woon," drawing attention. In response, Yang Se-hyung asked back, "Did you quit acting?"
Kwon Hwa Woon completed 13 full marathons in about one year, and is reported to have recorded 'sub-3'—finishing within three hours—in nine of those races. It is a record that reached the top 1% of amateurs in just half a year.
Yang Se-hyung said, "Even if you finish a full marathon within five hours you're considered to have run well, and finishing within four hours is recognized as 'sub-4'," and added, "Kwon Hwa Woon recorded sub-3 from his first full course."
In response, Jun Hyun-moo said, "a record even Seun hasn't achieved," and Yang Se-hyung added, "If you talk about sub-3 in front of Seun hyung it's a seizure button," drawing laughter. Yoo Byungjae reacted, "Such a kind person?" adding to the atmosphere.
Kwon Hwa Woon said, "I prepared for the marathon while filming a drama for about two to three months," and added, "My first record was 2 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds."
He went on to say, "I ran the Osaka, Tokyo and Seoul marathons consecutively over three weeks and recorded sub-3 in all of them," which added to the surprise.
Meanwhile, Kwon Hwa Woon was born in 1989 and pursues running alongside various acting activities.<
