Singer, broadcaster and painter Lee Hae young released photos of her cleaned pet dog.
Lee Hae young posted photos with her pet and solo photos of the pet on her social media on Mar. 27. There were no special comments.
This drew attention as it was her first post after deleting the previous post amid controversy over animal abuse for heavily applying makeup to the pet's face.
Earlier on the 25th, Lee Hae young posted a short video with her pet on her SNS along with the caption "I had fun because of Ne-deok."
Although it was an ordinary video of daily life with the pet, the problem was the pet's "face." Around the pet's eyes there was thick black coloring as if makeup had been applied, as well as a red heart and what appeared to be blusher, with scribbles drawn across the face.
Most netizens who saw it poured out critical reactions such as "Are you sane?" and "This is animal abuse." There were some responses like "Lovely" and "Cute," but they were in the minority.
Seemingly aware of the controversy, Lee Hae young quietly deleted the post containing images of the pet. She has not offered any particular position on the matter.
Lee Hae young married Lee Sang-min of the group Roolla in 2004 but divorced the following year, and in 2011 she remarried MBK Partners Vice Chairman Boo Jae-hoon and has two daughters.
