Singer-songwriter Ha Hyun Sang gave a preview of the mood of his second full-length album by releasing parts of the lyrics first.
Ha Hyun Sang opened a promotion website (hahyunsang.kr) at noon on the 26th and pre-released portions of the lyrics for all tracks of his second full-length album 'New Boat (뉴 보트)' set to be released on April 6.
This website was structured so listeners could first feel the album's mood through lyrics released one line at a time without song titles. "a feeling of one to you and that world", "Call out my name Let out your breath", "Every single tiny dance makes me lonely though", "It tastes a little salty, little sweet", "RADIO RADIO even now is fine", "All I knew is gone", "I'll hold my breath deeply now as if I'm with you All mine", "Even the Earth waved at me from afar", "island of splendid memories" and other released lines compressively reveal Ha Hyun Sang's characteristic understated lyricism.
Following the lyric release, this promotion website continues as a single flow so listeners can link the released lyrics with the actual tracks after the release. Through this, it adds fun to the process of listening to the album and provides an opportunity to enjoy the music in various ways.
'New Boat' is Ha Hyun Sang's second full-length album released about three years after his last, and it centers on the themes of a new beginning and a journey. Based on band sound, it flexibly combines various genres such as rock, gospel and pop ballad to maintain each track's individual color while completing a composition that connects them into a single narrative.
