Broadcaster Ahn Sun-young revealed she is undergoing a trial after suffering embezzlement and talked about the "types you should be careful of if they are around you."
Ahn Sun-young uploaded a video titled "You need to organize your personal relationships" to her channel on the 26th and shared her story of being victimized.
She said, "Having been scammed three times, suffered embezzlement and had money taken from me, what I felt is that among the types you must avoid, there are people who always act like they are the victim. They consider themselves victims. First, they have many excuses. Among friends, for example, a friend who is always late will say, 'Because it's before the holidays the traffic was bad,' and not apologize. Such people make all kinds of excuses. The country, the government, the National Assembly, my mother are all wrong, etc. They think 'I couldn't help it' about the harm they caused others and are lost in self-pity," she said.
She said the employee is currently on trial for embezzlement and explained, "Criminal and civil cases take a very long time. They require enormous amounts of money, time and energy. The criterion for whether to cut ties immediately and avoid the case or to pursue it to the end to determine right and wrong is that I always put myself in Bae-ro's position."
Ahn Sun-young added, "If Baro experienced something like this, I think between 'it's best to just avoid that person' and 'you must make your voice heard.' If basic boundaries are crossed and it looks like trauma will remain, I believe it is right to take it to the legal system and have justice done. Taking the attitude of 'let sleeping dogs lie' will make you sick, especially if it is a close relationship."
Ahn Sun-young said she revealed last August that an employee who had been like family had embezzled funds and said, "They are now indicted by the prosecution and under investigation." The amount of damage was on the order of several hundred million won, and she explained, "We worked together for four years, and they embezzled for three years and seven months of that period."
She went on to express her pain, saying, "The feeling of betrayal is so great and the wounds are so deep that I didn't want to come to the company, and I couldn't face the innocent employees. It felt like trauma."
Earlier in August, Ahn Sun-young said with tears, "An employee I thought of as family embezzled company funds for three years and seven months. The amount was so large that a small company could not bear it, and they are now indicted by the prosecution and under investigation."
She added, "The betrayal and wounds were so great that going to the company and seeing other employees' faces was difficult. As a manager, I felt like I was a zero," she confessed.
Ahn Sun-young also said, "I trusted and entrusted the accounting staff," and answered, "Even if an accounting firm does one more cross-check for corporate tax filing, if someone decides to siphon money intentionally, I learned this time that no one can find them while they steal several hundred million won."
She said, "Seeing more than eight methods emerging from a nominee account behind the face of an ordinary mother, I bitterly felt that people are the scariest," and added, "I changed the system so that final transfer payments are checked every day and sent personally, even if it's bothersome."
