A Thailand-born K-pop trainee has stepped forward as the finisher of the domestic household drama OST series.
On the 27th, Thailand-born 13-year-old trainee Aidia was selected as the vocalist for the final OST track "by your side" (by your side) of KBS1 daily drama Marie and Her Three Daddies, which brings the grand finale.
Aidia, who is working hard toward a domestic debut this year, captured attention with a voice that highlighted a pure, natural charm through the recording work for "by your side."
The new song, following the lyrics I still love when I wake up / I will wait by your side, is a love song that conveys sweetness, expressing the warmth of love still felt while waiting for a lover after waking up in the morning.
The song is an acoustic pop piece that gives a comfortable rest, with a clear and concise vocal that evokes the innocent female lead in the drama and the blend of acoustic guitar lingering in the ear. The song was co-composed by composer Go Byung-sik and Lee Hyeong-seong, who have worked with numerous artists on albums and OSTs, maximizing the charm of the concise song.
Aidia said the recording process was happy but very nerve-wracking, and she expressed gratitude to those who worked on the music, saying she was very happy and it was a good experience to be able to present the final OST of the most popular daily drama in her own voice.
Marie and Her Three Daddies (directed by Seo Yong-su, written by Kim Hong-ju) unfolded with a plot about Marie's chaotic search for a father, presenting the birth of an unusual family that is thicker than blood and more persistent than sperm. It began airing on Oct. 13 last year and ends on March 27 with 120 episodes.
A representative of OST producer Rosebud said the six-month period allowed them to add fun to the drama's development through OSTs by various singers, and noted that it is also meaningful that the final song was sung by a rookie artist dreaming of K-pop success at the age of 13.
Aidia's "by your side," the OST of KBS1 daily drama Marie and Her Three Daddies, was released on music sites at 12 p.m. on the 27th.
