JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) will hold a global boy group audition to find talent to lead K-pop.
JYP opened the official audition site at 2 p.m. on March 26 and announced the holding of "2026 JYP BOY GROUP GLOBAL AUDITION: The HEAT" (2026 JYP boy group global audition: The Heat). The audition name "The HEAT" signals intense "heat" like the English word "HEAT" while also carrying the meaning of "HIT," meaning popularity, raising expectations for the completion of a boy group that will continue hotter K-pop success.
This audition is open to any males born from 2008 to 2016 and will be held in eight regions in total: Osaka on April 18 (local time), New York and Bangkok on April 25, California on May 2, Tokyo on May 9, Sydney on May 16, Melbourne on May 23, and Seoul on May 31. First-round online applications are possible until 11:59 p.m. three days before each regional audition date, and overall registration will finally close at 11:59 p.m. on May 28, three days before the final regional Seoul audition date.
