Actor Lee Sang-bo's passing has prompted sorrow. The ups and downs of his life, which he revealed on past broadcasts, are being reexamined.
On the 27th, OSEN reported that Lee Sang-bo's funeral hall was arranged at Pyeongtaek Central Funeral Hall in Gyeonggi Province. The deceased was reported to have been found dead on the 26th, and the police said the exact cause of death is under investigation. Lee Sang-bo's side also said they are "currently aware of the situation and details."
Earlier, in November 2022, Lee Sang-bo appeared on Channel S's variety show "Advance of the sisters" and opened up about a difficult time in his life. At the time, he candidly confessed to events including family matters and being falsely accused of drug charges.
At the time, Lee Sang-bo said, "During the Chuseok holiday I took my usual tranquilizers, drank beer and went out, and after a report I was urgently arrested," adding, "the combination of drugs and alcohol seemed to make my condition look strange." He said that even though he tested "negative" in subsequent tests, he remained in a detention cell for about 48 hours, which added to the sorrow.
He also said that during examinations he received medical treatment while handcuffed and had to pay the medical expenses himself, expressing his grievance. He revealed that his cellphone was even damaged at the time of the incident, making it difficult to contact a lawyer or guardian, which shocked viewers.
He also confessed personal history in which all his family members had left him earlier, including his parents and older sister. The fact that a family of four was lost one by one prompted sorrow. Hearing this, Park Mi-sun empathized with his story and cried, offering consolation with the words "you should have lived well." Lee Sang-bo later recalled, "Those words are what I remember most," and "I tried not to cry, but I was very sad," reflecting on the time.
Later, Lee Sang-bo said in an interview that he had significantly reduced his tranquilizer use and expressed a will to recover. Nevertheless, despite such efforts, the sudden sad news has been reported, and fans and the public continue to mourn.
