Group i-dle (i-dle) member Shuhua (SHUHUA) will make her screen debut as the lead in her first film.
Cube Entertainment Corp. said on the 26th that Shuhua has been cast as the lead in the film "Happy and Joyful Days." This is Shuhua's first film appearance.
"Happy and Joyful Days" is a work that unfolds around the story of two sisters with completely different personalities. One day, prompted by the appearance of a stray cat, the seemingly peaceful daily life is shaken, and the story depicts the events that unfold. Feng Ai Fiona Lon (阮鳳儀), who won best new director, the International Federation of Film Critics Award and the audience award at the Golden Horse Awards, a leading Chinese-language film festival, for her first feature film "American Girl (美國女孩)," directed the film.
Shuhua plays Lin Jiaqi (林家琪), the youngest in the family and a lively, naively innocent protagonist. By chance she picks up a stray cat, and based on that connection, she is a character whose way of viewing life slowly changes.
Shuhua said, "As an actress, I want to show a different side than before and give fans a new surprise," and added, "Lin Jiaqi's many laughs and emotional side resemble me, but the inner part that worries about and avoids the future is an area I need to challenge. I will convey Lin Jiaqi's story at my own pace."
i-dle, which Shuhua belongs to, began its fourth world tour, "2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation]," starting in Seoul in February. Following Taipei and Bangkok, they will continue performances in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, in May; Singapore, Yokohama and Hong Kong in June; and 10 major North American cities in August.
On July 31 (local time), they will perform at Lollapalooza, a major U.S. music festival held at Grant Park in Chicago, further stepping up their overseas promotion.
