On KBS2's The Return of SUPERMAN, Shim Hyungtak's son Haru took his first steps 416 days after his birth. Relying on a baby walker he had stood on his own, and wearing his first formal baby shoes he walked alone for the first time, moving his father to tears.
The Return of SUPERMAN episode 614, which aired on the 25th (directed by Kim Youngmin, hereafter "The Return of SUPERMAN"), was the "I came to experience being a dad" installment and featured MC Kim Jongmin and Lallal. Walking while holding his father's hand and then succeeding in walking on his own, Haru's appearance evoked pride.
At his first-ever dog café, Haru learned how to interact with puppies and peers. Surrounded by dogs and smiling broadly as he looked at them, Haru delivered such cuteness that it was hard to tell who the puppy was, and he also bonded with his first-ever girlfriend, Harin. As Haru tightly held his father's hand and wiggled toward the place he wanted to go, Shim said, "Why does it feel so good to have him rely on me?" and choked up. Shim Hyungtak attached a rice cracker to his chest to encourage Haru to walk alone. Haru rushed forward with effort and fell into his father's arms. Shim Hyungtak said, "I'm happy just that Haru walked into my arms," conveying his poignant happiness.
Meanwhile, the Gangdan siblings Son Minsu and Im Lara spent a joyful day with expecting father Kim Jongmin. Kim Jongmin, who married late at 45 last year and is planning for a second generation, met the Gangdan siblings. He said, "The Gangdan siblings are so pretty that I wanted to see them and receive their good energy," and began practicing being a father. Kim Jongmin experienced a full course of childcare from first-time breastfeeding to burping, nap time and reading stories.
Kim Jongmin, who attempted burping in an awkward posture and drew laughs, held Dani, who fell asleep in his arms, and flusteredly asked, "What should I do?" provoking more laughter. He sent an SOS to Son Minsu, who had gone into the bathroom, but in the end, when he tried to lay Dani down on the mat he woke her and sparked laughter.
