Kangmin's time, unsettling but even that is beautiful.
At 6 p.m. on the 26th, Kangmin released his first solo single album Free Falling through various music sites. At the same time, Kangmin also released the title track of the same name and the music video.
The title track Free Falling is a contemporary R&B pop track where dynamic rhythms, guitar and the EP's ensemble come together, and it is a song that stands out for the contrast between restrained verses and a mysterious, dreamy chorus.
"Free falling/ don't leave me alone/ it hurts when I'm by your side/ so why do we keep needing each other"
This song contains the anxious emotions of two people who, repeating love and hurt, push each other away and pull each other back in, precariously falling and lingering. Kangmin participated in writing the lyrics for the song and candidly voiced his own complete story.
The 'anxiety' that runs through the entire album is likewise contained in the title track. Capturing Kangmin's time standing on the boundary between boy and man, his wavering is naturally conveyed in his footsteps as he wanders, unable to find the right answer rather than a future that appears clearly before him.
Even Kangmin himself does not know where he is headed, but by capturing the moment of moving forward without stopping, he did not hide his fear about whether the path he is taking amid confusion and chaos is the right one.
Kangmin directly participated in the overall production process, putting his thoughts and feelings into it, and the music and visuals focused on the natural Kangmin himself rather than relying on any particular concept.
Meanwhile, Kangmin's first solo album Free Falling is available for listening through various music sites today (the 26th) at 6 p.m.
