Group Wonder Girls alum actress Ahn So-hee explained why she no longer sings.
On the 26th, Kian84's YouTube channel 'Insaeng84' released the content 'With Ahn So-hee'.
That day Ahn So-hee greeted Kian84 warmly and then introduced her recent activities, saying, "It feels like I've come out to the outskirts after a really long time. I happened to be performing in a play until recently called "That Time, Today2" which ended last month."
In response Kian84 said, "They said it was interesting. Code Kunst praised it highly. They said there wasn't a single dull moment," showing curiosity.
Ahn So-hee explained, "Although it's my play, it's not because it's my work that I liked it so much. This play is a two-person play so it was extremely physically draining. It's in an omnibus format with four stories. Four episodes, four different characters. It was a work that took a lot of energy physically and emotionally."
She added, "I wasn't born particularly sturdy. I'm going to rest a bit. I, too, couldn't have any personal time for a while. I prepared from last fall and until last month it was really just the play. I want to travel a bit and work on my YouTube channel. I'm thinking of trying a long one-month stay. This time I'm planning to try it in Europe," revealing her future plans.
In particular, Ahn So-hee candidly explained why she does not return to the stage after switching to acting. Kian84 asked, "You don't sing anymore?" and Ahn So-hee replied, "I've switched careers and am focusing only on acting now. But how should I put it—there's no regret or disappointment, but I do miss it. I really liked being on stage. I missed things like concerts, events, and music shows where you stand on stage, but I expressed a lot of that through theater."
Ahn So-hee said, "Of course the energy is somewhat different: the energy on stage received as a singer. Theater also has a quiet, concentrating energy that is extremely strong. In that silence you strongly feel, 'They are quietly watching my work with great focus.'"
