On the 25th broadcast of TV CHOSUN "Dad and I season 3," Lee So-na, Her Chanmi and Hong Seong-yun, who won the top honors in "Miss Trot 4," appeared and shared their recent status since the competition.
That day Han Hye-jin asked, "Do you feel popular these days?" First, "Miss Trot 4" winner Lee So-na said, "I said if I made the top five I would treat fans to snacks like tteokbokki and sundae. I decided to give them out by lottery," she began.
She continued, "I arranged for a snack shop in my hometown Chuncheon to serve them. So many people came that day that the market was crowded. I prepared 100 servings of tteokbokki, but so many people came that I added 50 more servings for a total of 150 servings. They sold out in an hour and a half. So many people came and some couldn't get any, so I sang. That's when I felt the popularity," she said.
Meanwhile, runner-up Her Chanmi said she went to a hwahanjang (Korean steam therapy) during the competition to work up a sweat. She said, "I didn't expect to be recognized there. I had a towel over me sweating, and there was a young couple next to me. They were watching my videos and talking about me. They said, 'Wasn't she in some group? She appeared this time,' and honestly I wanted to say, 'That's me,'" she confessed.
She added, "My face was red, I was sweating a lot and had no makeup, so I didn't greet them for fear they would be too surprised or disappointed to see me in person. I realized that so many people are watching," she said.
Hong Seong-yun of the "Mi" team said, "I went to a cosmetics store to buy a gift for my mother, and they recognized me there and I signed autographs. They also gave me a lot of samples. At that moment I realized, 'This is an incredibly big program,'" he said.
