The group NCT WISH expressed their thoughts ahead of their 2nd anniversary and the release of their first full-length album.
NCT WISH graced the cover of fashion magazine Elle's special digital project Elle The Edition.
The revealed The Edition cover and photo spread are a project that captures NCT WISH at the moment of a new leap as they mark their 2nd anniversary since debut. It expressed, through sensuous visuals, the spectrum of emotions expanded in the time of growth the six members accumulated on stage and in their relationship with fans, SIZZY.
Leader Sion looked back on moments when the distance with fans grew closer and said, "I felt it when I directly sensed fans' expressions and cheering sounds on stage and thought, 'So many people are supporting us.'" He added about the direction the team aims for, "We want to be a team that naturally brings a smile first."
Riku, who is preparing the group's first full-length album to be released on Apr. 20, said of this work, "I hope this album will allow not only SIZZY but more people to naturally come into contact with us." Looking back on the past two years of activities, he cited the emotions he felt on the solo concert stage as the most impressive moment.
Ryo said, "I hope everyone finds at least one song they like while listening to the whole album," expressing anticipation to expand the team's possibilities through various musical attempts. Yuushi described the first full-length album in one word as "love," and said, "The feelings we want to convey through music ultimately touch on love."
Sakuya, looking back on the time of growth since debut, said, "My current goal is to move in the same direction and at the same pace as the members." Jaehee emphasized gratitude during the album production process and said, "I want to be someone who members can comfortably talk to when needed rather than a grandiose presence."
Throughout the interview, NCT WISH emphasized sincerity about the stage, fans, and teamwork. The six members spoke about growth, responsibility, and their love for music in their own ways, describing the present time as "a process created together."
NCT WISH will make a comeback on Apr. 20 with their first full-length album Ode to Love.
