Singer Jo Gap-kyung appeared in a preview for "Radio Star" amid controversy over her son's private life.
At the end of episode 958 of MBC's entertainment program Radio Star (abbreviated Ras), which aired the night of the 25th, the guests for the next episode were singer Jo Gap-kyung, Chae-yeon, Rainbow's Go Woo-ri, and fromis_9's Lee Chae-young.

Jo Gap-kyung married senior singer Hong Seo-beom in 1994 and they had three children, one son and two daughters. Their eldest son, Mr. Hong, married in 2024 but faced a breakup after filing for divorce eight months later.
In particular, Mr. Hong's ex-wife, who was the former daughter-in-law of Hong Seo-beom and Jo Gap-kyung, identified as Ms. A, claims that the reason for the divorce was Mr. Hong's affair. After a miscarriage following the marriage, she became pregnant again, and during that process Mr. Hong's affair was discovered and recognized as a reason for divorce, resulting in Mr. Hong and the other woman each being ordered to pay 30 million won and 20 million won in consolation money respectively. Furthermore, Mr. Hong was supposed to pay 800,000 won per month in child support until the children reach adulthood, but she says she has not been receiving it.
Regarding this, Hong Seo-beom and Jo Gap-kyung's side said the divorce lawsuit is still ongoing and the trial has not concluded due to an appeal after the first-instance ruling. They added that they gave their son money to pay part of the consolation money, and that child support will be paid after the trial ends on the recommendation of their lawyer.
