The group TWICE sold out every show at Taipei Dome, meeting about 120,000 attendees over three days.
TWICE held a solo concert at Taipei Dome from Mar. 20 to 22 as part of their world tour 'THIS IS FOR' (THIS IS FOR). This performance marked TWICE's first entry into Taipei Dome, with the tour's trademark 360-degree open-stage positioned in the middle of the venue, filling the seats and drawing the eyes and ears of about 40,000 ONCE (fan club name) per show.
To commemorate the performance, Taipei City was awash with TWICE. From a pop-up store offering tour merchandise and photo zones to a themed subway whose handles, doors and floors were covered with TWICE, nine installations of the group's representative songs were set up at nine landmarks representing Taipei to welcome TWICE. In particular, The Sky Taipei, one of the city's supertall buildings, featured the phrases "THIS IS FOR TPE" and "♥TWICE♥," catching the eye.
Taking the stage to the warm welcome of local fans, TWICE delivered a parade of hits led by the title track from their full-length fourth album released in July last year, "THIS IS FOR," including "Strategy," "SET ME FREE," and "Talk that Talk," drenching the audience in jubilation. In addition, solo songs included on the special album TEN: The story Goes On and solo debut songs from the youngest line — Chaeyoung's "SHOOT (Firecracker)" and Tzuyu's "Run Away" — drew huge cheers.
At the close of the three-day solo concert, the members shed tears of emotion, saying they were grateful to the fans who gave them the courage to pursue their dreams and helped them achieve those dreams.
TWICE now moves on to North America to continue the momentum of the ongoing THIS IS FOR tour. Beginning Mar. 27–28 in Orlando (local time), they will visit eight cities through Apr. 17–18 in Austin, and on Apr. 25, 26 and 28 they will become the first overseas artist to enter the National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.
