With 'Chungju Man' Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seon-tae, who led Chungju city's YouTube channel, having left, the remaining Assistant Deputy Directors candidly shared their feelings.
On the 24th, the YouTube channel Chungju posted a video titled "the head of team left." The video showed Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seon-tae's resignation, and Assistant Deputy Director Choi Ji-ho and Assistant Deputy Director Jang Yeon-ju describing the changed channel atmosphere and their recent situations.
On that day Assistant Deputy Director Choi Ji-ho said, "In a month the channel underwent a big change," adding, "the head of team, who was like a father, left, the colleague who was like an older brother left, and now only the younger sister remains," which drew laughter. He went on, "still, the living must live, right?" and handled the situation with his characteristic cheerful tone.
But behind the laughter there were realistic concerns. After Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seon-tae's resignation, Chungju city's channel lost about 220,000 subscribers. In fact, subscribers fell from 970,000 to the 700,000s, taking a significant hit.
Meanwhile, Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seon-tae's personal channel surpassed 1.3 million subscribers within three days of its launch, drawing an explosive reaction. Regarding this, Assistant Deputy Director Choi Ji-ho said, "How could he become the next Jennie or Paik Jong-won?" and added, "There were news reports asking why we didn't take him with us, which was so funny."
The topic of a "dream" in particular drew attention. He said, "In my dream the head of team appeared and said it was his video and asked what we would do if we deleted it; he left only the 'Chuno video' and erased everything else," and added, "I planned that video, and he said 'the pocket of the world that Kim Seon-tae left behind,'" which provoked more laughter.
He also expressed regret, saying, "Actually we had recorded many videos, but because the head of team quit we couldn't upload many of them."
