Mamamoo group member Moonbyul continues her musical sprint on her own frequency.
Moonbyul releases her third single REV today (25th) at 6 p.m. on various music platforms.
The title track Hertz layers Moonbyul's voice over an intense beat to convey the unstoppable energy of a sprint. Moonbyul sets her heart rate to BPM 114 and presses the accelerator until the engine's vibrations are felt throughout her body. She will break through constantly crossing frequencies and noise to offer listeners a perfectly immersive experience.
The music video released with the track increases immersion by showing Moonbyul moving steadily toward the starting grid. Within precise yet sharp movements, Moonbyul performs with a dance crew, conveying both a sense of speed and rhythm.
In addition, REV includes three tracks: DREAMER, which depicts the moment of sinking into the most free "dream" path where only I can swim with psychedelic guitar tones and dreamy vocals; and "Gise" which, on a heart-pounding dembow rhythm, breaks free from its set orbit and sprints at high speed toward its destination with overwhelming force.
REV is a single that conveys the meaning of "raising an engine's rotational speed," and Moonbyul showcases her all-rounder side that encompasses vocals, rap and performance by harnessing her own frequency as power. To that end, Moonbyul personally led the single's overall production, participating in writing and composing all the tracks, raising expectations for a more evolved musical achievement.<
