The group ENHYPEN is continuing a fierce rise, climbing the U.S. Billboard main album chart for two consecutive weeks.
According to the latest chart (March 28) released on the 24th by U.S. music trade publication Billboard, ENHYPEN's mini album 7 "THE SIN : VANISH" ranked 43rd on the Billboard 200. The album jumped 73 spots last week (March 21) and 18 spots this week. It is encouraging that it is showing strong staying power despite being on the chart for nine consecutive weeks two months after its release.
It is even stronger on the subcharts. THE SIN : VANISH ranked 2nd on Billboard's World Albums and 6th on Top Album Sales, securing a steady place within the top 10. Riding the album's undiminished popularity, ENHYPEN rose 12 spots from the previous week to land at 40 on Artist 100.
THE SIN : VANISH tells the story of lovers who break a taboo and flee for love in a world where humans and vampires coexist. It received praise as a high-quality "concept album" in which the narrative, lyrics and sound of every track interlock organically. It is notable for borrowing the investigative reporting program "Mystery Show" format and meticulously arranging a total of six songs, four narrations and one skit (SKIT·dramatic scene).
THE SIN : VANISH drew great popularity with its immersive, unconventional track arrangement and solid storyline, making it ENHYPEN's fourth "double million seller" overall. The title track "Knife" topped iTunes' "Top Songs" charts in 11 countries/regions on its release day, including Argentina, Indonesia and the Philippines. It also appeared on YouTube's trending music rankings in 36 countries/regions, including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN has recently undergone a change as Hee-seung departed from the team to pursue a solo career. The agency Belift Lab Inc. released an official statement saying, We have considered and discussed the direction ENHYPEN should take going forward and their next goals. We had in-depth conversations about each member's envisioned future and the team's direction, and in that process we confirmed that Hee-seung's musical orientation is clear and decided to respect that. Accordingly, Hee-seung will depart from ENHYPEN, and ENHYPEN will continue activities as a six-member group.
