On the 24th, the SBS program 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereinafter Same Bed, Different Dreams) featured the couple Kim Hee-eun and Yun Dae-hyun.
Kim Hee-eun said, "My mother was not there the moment I was born. It sounds impossible. My mother must have given birth to me. When I go back to my early memories, there was only my grandmother and my father. I became curious in kindergarten. I opened an album I had never seen before in my father's room. There were very handsome and beautiful young people, and I thought, "This must be my mother." I closed it quickly. I thought my father must not find out," she said.
Kim Hee-eun said she was raised by her grandmother after her parents divorced. Kim Hee-eun added, "When I asked my father why there was no mother, he even said, 'She abandoned you because you're not a son.' He also told me not to talk about mother. I thought I should not be curious about my mother while living," she added.
Kim Hee-eun confessed, "When I was a senior in high school, I thought it was time to meet her, so I met her. I don't remember the emotions from then. In the midst of a crowd, one person with reddened eyes came, and I knew at a glance, 'That person is my mother.' The first thing she said to me was, 'Baby, my dear.' I said to her, 'Excuse me.' My mother sat down and sobbed," she confessed, fighting back tears.
Kim Hee-eun said she wondered what it would feel like to go shopping with her mother and wear clothes bought by her. "I was curious what a mother's feeling would be. It didn't really feel like a mother. I have seen my mother until now... probably less than I have seen my husband. My mother is ill now. She is battling cancer," she said, eventually bursting into tears.
Kim Hee-eun confessed, "I don't see her often. She is receiving treatment in Gwangju. I think I have seen my mother about 20 times so far. Sometimes it's awkward," she confessed.
