Actor Daniel Radcliffe said he hopes his son will not know that he is 'Harry Potter.'
Daniel Radcliffe said in a recent interview with Vulture that after his son was born he realized he had to quit smoking. He has a son with his girlfriend Erin Dark.
Daniel Radcliffe recently said he quit smoking, "I smoked quite heavily for 20 years and never even thought about quitting. But right after my son was born, thoughts about my own death came to mind, which prompted me to decide to quit smoking."
He said that after quitting smoking he became quite focused on exercise, "I do weight training, circuit training and aerobic exercise. I don't look like someone obsessed with fitness, but I do it quite intensely. I feel like someone who escaped a typical alcohol addiction or someone who had addictive tendencies and turned that addiction into working out at the gym."
He said, "I used to get through the day on coffee and cigarettes, but now that I've quit smoking I get through the day on coffee alone."
Also, Daniel Radcliffe said his son, whose name has not yet been revealed, does not recognize him as the protagonist of the 'Harry Potter' series, and he wants to maintain that anonymity for as long as possible.
He said, "Recently someone gave a DVD for an autograph and it was left on our kitchen table for a few days. At one point the child was next to it so I asked, 'Who is that person?' to see if he recognized me on the cover. But he didn't recognize me. That was nice. I hope the time when I can just be his dad and not be perceived as some other figure lasts as long as possible."
Daniel Radcliffe played the lead role of Harry Potter in the 'Harry Potter' series and was loved worldwide. Since then he has appeared in various works such as films and plays.
