The Tving original Yumi's Cells season 3, which will be released on Mon., Apr. 13 (directed by Lee Sang-yeop, written by Song Jae-jung·Kim Kyung-ran, provided by Tving, produced by Studio Dragon·Merry Cow·Studio N), released the main teaser on the 25th that raises expectations for a romantic shift in the relationship between Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun) and Sun-rok (played by Kim Jaewon).
Returning after 3 years, Yumi's Cells season 3 contains a cell-stimulating, relatable romance in which Yumi, now a star writer, once again laughs, cries and falls in love because of an unexpected person who arrives like a bolt from the blue in her unstimulating daily life. Centered on Kim Go-eun, who played 'Yumi herself,' the joining of rising young actor Kim Jaewon and the reunion of trusted director Lee Sang-yeop with writers Song Jae-jung·Kim Kyung-ran raise expectations.
If the previously unveiled main poster raised expectations for the bolt-like excitement between Yumi and Sun-rok, the main teaser released that day raises the excitement index with the dynamic changes in the relationship between Yumi and Sun-rok.
Contrary to his neat visuals, PD Sun-rok, who constantly presses Yumi's anger button with offbeat reactions, brings an exciting change to Yumi's peaceful daily life with his somehow extraordinary appearance. To Yumi's comment, "A Maltese could be smart," he replies without batting an eye, "Don't Maltese eat poop too?" and his unusual act of putting on earphones alone on the bus they share provokes laughter. In particular, the rare fish species 'ppakdom,' which appears only when Yumi is angry, repeatedly shows up with Sun-rok's arrival, making the busy fishing cells especially interesting.
Although she grumbles, "The more I think about it, the more ridiculous it is," Yumi's change, which seems somehow excited, is captured. Struck by Sun-rok's smile as if by a bolt, Yumi's heart begins to flutter and her daily life gradually changes. Sun-rok's unexpected charm also draws attention. To a somewhat downcast Yumi, he offers kind comfort, "You were cool. You're cool," and when Dae-yong (played by Jun Suk-ho) says that Yumi and Joo-ho (played by Choi Daniel) look good together, Sun-rok bluntly replies, "No. They don't suit each other," showing a headstrong side that raises expectations for the dynamic "hate-love" romance to come. Meanwhile, the Tving original Yumi's Cells season 3 will be exclusively pre-released on Tving with two episodes every Monday at 6 p.m. starting on Apr. 13, and will air one episode each on tvN every Mon. and Tue. at 8:50 p.m.
