Two months after their debut they appeared on U.S. Fox5 Good Day New York, and more recently they even conquered the stage of Japan's largest fashion festival, Girls Collection; AtHeart's gaze is already turned to the world. As a team made up of multinational members, they have already signaled a distinctive global synergy.
AtHeart recently held an interview at the OSEN building in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their new double single Shut Up(셧업) and Butterfly Doors(버터플라이 도어스), and talked about the new songs.
AtHeart was introduced last August as Titan Contents' first girl group, and with the release of their first EP Plot Twist they were selected as one of the K-pop groups to watch most in 2025.
Also, AtHeart conducted large-scale promotions covering New York and LA in the United States just two months after their debut. They appeared on FOX5 Good Day New York, becoming one of the fastest K-pop girl groups to appear on a U.S. TV program, showing an overwhelming pace of global growth.
In particular, the music videos for this double single Shut Up and Butterfly Doors were filmed entirely on location in Los Angeles, which attracted attention. Although LA is famous for its good weather, AtHeart's "jinx" of bringing rain or snow to shoots could not be avoided. It rained so hard during an indoor shoot that the power went out, but fortunately the weather cleared for the outdoor shoot and the members breathed a sigh of relief.
Mitchie said the music video shoot brought them closer and the locations fit the videos well, and recalled that on the last day of filming the Butterfly Doors video a butterfly flew in and she thought, "This is fate. I felt it would do well."
Small cultural differences experienced as a multinational group were filled by consideration among the members. Nahyun said, "The older members like Korean food more than I expected and their Korean has improved a lot, so it doesn't really feel like they're foreign sisters. Other than language help when we were abroad, there's nothing different."
Conversely, during U.S. activities the overseas members Caitlyn and Mitchie became reliable supporters. The members expressed gratitude, saying they helped with English reading right before the interview and gave advice.
Caitlyn added, "When we performed the AtHeart Experience in LA I worried whether many fans would come, but I was happy so many came. Fans came from other states too, they sang along and responded well, which was moving."
Behind AtHeart's solid teamwork was a habit carried over from their trainee days called "weekly conversation time." Nahyun explained, "As trainees we had a time once a week to talk. Maybe because we started the habit then, we have productive talks like what to do about tomorrow's schedule and how to grow further. We get to know what each other is thinking and our relationships deepen. I think that helps."
The members also offered generous praise for each other's strengths: Arin's exceptional dance skills and attentive leadership, Bom's role as mood maker and her power as main vocalist, Seohyun's cuteness and thoughtfulness, Caitlyn's attractive rap tone, Nahyun's deep thinking and striking visuals, and eldest sister Mitchie's positive energy and warmth in taking care of the members.
Finally, AtHeart said, "We are so grateful that you waited for us, and we thank you for always choosing only kind and nice words. We would appreciate it if you watch over us so we can grow and show many more concepts and charms in the future."
