The group SF9 releases a special album filled entirely with ballads today (the 25th).
SF9 will release all tracks from the special album About Love and a live video of the title track Love Comes Slowly on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 25th.
SF9's special album About Love is an album containing various stories about love. In particular, marking SF9's 10th anniversary this year, the group looks back on the past 10 years and expresses emotions toward the precious people who have walked that path with them in a variety of languages of love.
The title track Love Comes Slowly is a pop ballad that deepens emotion with a cozy synth sound layered over a subtle piano melody, portraying the slowly deepening feeling of love as two people become part of each other's daily lives through SF9's delicate vocal harmonies. This special album includes a total of seven ballads, including the title track, '내가 그리움이 되면 (Fade Into Memories)', 'You Think Too Much', 'Last of Us', '아픈 건지 허전한 건지 (Hurt & Hollow)', '곁 (By Your Side)', and 'Broken Way', allowing listeners to feel SF9's diverse vocals.

Q1. How do you feel about coming back with a special album after a year?
Youngbin: This year marks our 10th anniversary since debut, and I'm glad we can show good music with a special album for our 10th anniversary.
Inseong: I'm truly grateful to be able to greet everyone with such good news. I think we were able to do this thanks to Fantasy, the staff members, and the members who continue to believe in SF9 and help us consistently release music. I feel an even stronger desire to remain diligent and humble for a long time!
Jaeyoon: Since it's a special album released after a long time, it feels new and makes me excited as if announcing the start of our 10th anniversary.
Dawon: It's an album we made together after discharge, so I hope the fans like it a lot.
Hwiyoung: It's been a while since we released a special album, so it feels new, and because not only the title track but also the other songs are really good, it's an album I want to share widely with people around me.
Chani: After a year, we meet fans with an SF9 album, and I'm so happy to greet the start of our 10th anniversary with this album!
Q2. What are the listening highlights of this album?
Youngbin: I hope listeners focus on the members' voices throughout this album. The return of Dawon's voice after a long time and the harmony of the members' voices will be highlights. Also, since the album is composed of songs that contain the messages the members wanted to deliver, I hope listeners pay attention to the messages in each song.
Inseong: First, the title track Love Comes Slowly is a pop ballad, and I think it's a song that showcases SF9's delicate vocals well. You can feel the members' voices as they gradually mature and find their own musical colors, and overall in the album you can feel an upgraded level of SF9's expressiveness. I think what each member wants to convey within the music has become more distinct.
Hwiyoung: The songs on this album are overall easy listening and good to hear, and most tracks have a moody quality, so they're good to listen to when you want to feel the atmosphere.
Q3. Besides the title track, is there any album track you would recommend?
Youngbin: 'By Your Side.' It's a song that contains the message I want to convey to fans, so it resonates more with me, and as a traditional ballad you can feel a deep emotional impact.
Jaeyoon: Personally, I think 'You Think Too Much' is the best. It's a bit of my personal pick, and it was my pick from when I received the guide version. It's a song where you can hear our unique sensuous vocals, so I think you'll feel a different side of SF9.
Dawon: Besides the title track, all the songs are calm and lyrical, so they're easy to listen to without burden, and each song has a different charm, so I hope you listen to them once.
Hwiyoung: When working on the song 'Last of Us,' I tried to include many dreamy and pop melodies, so you may feel a slightly different atmosphere among the album tracks. I recommend this song when you get tired of listening to your daily favorite songs.
Q4. The album is filled entirely with ballads. Was there anything you paid special attention to during production?
Jaeyoon: I recorded this album with everything I had. Since there are many emotional songs, I focused a lot on delicate vocalization, various vocal skills, and detail. Personally, it was an enjoyable album to record.
Dawon: Since it's a ballad album, conveying emotion seemed important, so I tried to fully realize what the composers and lyricists intended.
Chani: I sang with gratitude thinking of Fantasy, and I focused a lot on the lyrics to convey the song's message well.
Q5. Are there any memorable episodes while preparing the album?
Youngbin: I was worried during the concept photo shoot because the weather was cold, but I'm glad our faces came out nicely. Also, since it's an album we worked on with Dawon again after a long time, the occasional awkward and novel moments were fun.
Inseong: I happily worked thinking that we celebrated the 10th anniversary together with the members, and I remember the food truck on the live video shoot being extremely delicious. I wanted to take the leftover food home whole and enjoy it for a long time it was that good.
Chani: While filming the live video, the members talked about old times, and it felt nostalgic, fun, and warm to think about the past after a long time.
Q6. Is there a message you want to deliver with this album?
Youngbin: It's an album where each song clearly shows the message the members want to deliver, so I hope people focus on the lyrics and listen more with their ears than their eyes.
Inseong: I hope this album shows our more musically mature selves and the steady and diligent image of SF9.
Jaeyoon: To commemorate the start of our 10th anniversary, we prepared these songs as a small gift to Fantasy, and I hope you enjoy them a lot!
Dawon: I hoped this album would be comforting amid hectic and busy daily life. I don't know how much comfort these songs will bring, but we prepared them with thoughts of and love for everyone reading this.
Hwiyoung: I hope this album provides a moment of leisure when you listen to it during a busy and chaotic day.
Chani: This album contains many stories about love told by SF9. I think many people will find it easy and friendly to listen to.
