The group YOUNG POSSE broke the mold with a shocking teaser befitting a "K-pop scene contrarian."
YOUNG POSSE (Jeong Sun-hye, Wi Yeon-jeong, Jiana, Do-eun, Han Ji-eun) at 12 a.m. today (24th) posted a sound blueprint for the digital single "we don't go to bed tonight" on their official SNS.
According to the released image, this single contains a total of five songs including the title track "we don't go to bed tonight." In particular, the four B-sides are versions that isolate the title track into drum, bass, synth and a cappella sounds respectively. When all the tracks are combined, the title track "we don't go to bed tonight" is completed in a unique structure.
Having shown an unpredictable contrarian charm since debut, YOUNG POSSE, in line with the digicore genre's tendency to freely combine various samples, presented an experimental attempt to split one song into five charms. They hinted they will offer a different musical experience by rendering a conventional tracklist like a sound blueprint.
"we don't go to bed tonight" is the most exciting track among the songs YOUNG POSSE has released so far, containing a bolder sound and energy. After mainly releasing songs based on traditional hip-hop sound, YOUNG POSSE expands their musical spectrum further by encompassing the digicore genre.
Meanwhile, YOUNG POSSE's digital single "we don't go to bed tonight" will be released at 6 p.m. on April 7 on various music sites.<
