The 1990s hit TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar (Sarah Michelle Gellar, 48) was moved to tears by the news of the death of her longtime colleague Nicholas Brendon.
According to a report by the Daily Mail on the 24th (local time), Sarah Michelle Gellar attended the premiere event for the film Ready or Not 2 in Rome, Italy, and mentioned Nicholas Brendon, who recently passed away.
Dressed in an elegant white dress on the red carpet, she could not hide her grief over the loss of her colleague. She said, "Losing someone is always a tragedy, but sending someone away at such an early time is an even greater tragedy," and added, "This loss feels like a very personal pain to me."
She went on to express regret, saying, "Life in the entertainment industry is really tough. Our 'Buffy' team seems to have suffered more tragedies than other shows." In fact, among the actors who appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 11 actors, including Michelle Trachtenberg (who died last year) and Luke Perry, have already passed away, causing pain to fans.
Sarah Michelle Gellar also paid deep respect to the character Xander Harris that the late Nicholas played. She emphasized, "He was an indispensable core part of 'Buffy,' and that fact will never change," and said, "I think a lot about legacy as an actor, and he brought joy to countless people through this show. That is the truth."
Earlier, she posted a photo on her social media taken with Nicholas in 1998 and quoted Xander's famous line from the show, "Because no one watches me, I have seen more than anyone," in tribute. She honored the late actor, saying, "Nikki, I was watching you. Now rest peacefully in the big rocking chair in heaven."
Meanwhile, the family of Nicholas Brendon (Nicholas Brendon), who was beloved for his role as Xander Harris in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, recently announced on official social media that he died peacefully of natural causes while sleeping at home. He was 54.
The family said, "It breaks our hearts to announce the obituary of our brother and son Nicholas," and added, "He was passionate, sensitive and constantly creative. Recently he devoted himself to painting and art and enjoyed connecting with family, friends and fans."
