Actor Yoon Gi-won reunited with his nemesis(?) comedian Lee Young-jae and exchanged drunken confessions.
On the 22nd, a video titled 'A dramatic reconciliation after 30 years: KBS class 7 Lee Young-jae–Yoon Gi-won' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Jo Dongari'. That day on 'Jo Dongari', actor Yoon Gi-won and comedian Lee Young-jae appeared together as guests, and MC Jee SeokjinXKim Yong ManXKim Soo-yong and everyone, sharing the common bond of being 'KBS open recruitment comedians class 7', dove into conversation. Yoon Gi-won appeared playing a recorder and immediately captured everyone's attention. Lee Young-jae was beside him, but Yoon Gi-won was visibly nervous and could not meet his eyes.
This was because when Yoon Gi-won first appeared on 'Jo Dongari' with Choi Seung-kyung, he confessed that he and Lee Young-jae were nemeses, saying, "Whenever I see Jaeseok he treats me nicely, but when he looks only at me he wants to eat me, so it was a love-hate relationship. I don't particularly want to see him." Lee Young-jae replied with a twist, saying, "I'm grateful because you made me the villain," and "Isn't it thanks to him that you appeared on 'Jo Dongari'?" In response, Yoon Gi-won quickly shifted stance, saying, "Young-jae hyung mixed affection and hatred while being cute and giving advice," which drew laughter. In particular, Lee Young-jae explained the claim that he especially disliked Yoon Gi-won and only liked Yu Jae-seok. Yoon Gi-won accepted this, and the long-standing misunderstanding(?) between the two was resolved.
As they chatted over a drink, Jee Seokjin marveled at the spectacle, saying, "This is the first time a soju glass has appeared like this." Kim Yong Man hoped the two would become closer, saying, "(With the help of the alcohol) this is also a day when the two should talk a bit." Lee Young-jae expressed affection for Yoon Gi-won, saying, "I drink soju maybe once a year or not at all, but Gi-won came and drank." Yoon Gi-won admitted that the class 7 members rarely drank, saying, "The class 7 didn't drink much. Yong-man hyung, Nam Heeseok, Yu Jae-seok, Choi Seung-kyung all didn't drink. Park Soo-hong hardly drank at all, which is why he still has such good skin tone(?)."
Meanwhile, Yoon Gi-won announced that he will appear in the film 'Herring', scheduled to be released in the second half of 2026. He said, "I play a local thug from Yeongdeok, Gyeongbuk. I'm practicing to master the dialect; my wife is from Busan so she asked me to read it in the Busan dialect, so I listened and practiced hard," proudly noting his wife's support. Thanks to his wife, a professor in the modeling department who is 11 years his junior, Yoon Gi-won earned praise for his dialect skills even from Lee Young-jae, who is from Gyeongnam. Furthermore, Yoon Gi-won fulfilled a bucket list by releasing an album of an original song he sang at the 1991 Riverside Song Festival, and he moved his hyungs by gifting the officially released album to them as a present. After spending a happy time with his hyungs, Yoon Gi-won expressed gratitude to 'Jo Dongari', saying, "I'm even happier the second time I see you. From now on I want to see you often and share various things frequently."
Meanwhile Yoon Gi-won married in 2012 but divorced in 2017, five years into the marriage. Later, on Nov. in 2023 he wed a model and professor 11 years his junior.
