Snowboard national team member Yu Seun-geun will showcase both fresh charm and unexpected variety show talent on Radio Star. A medalist at the 2026 Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics and a high school senior, she displayed a strong heart and bold performances despite her young age to win a medal, drawing attention as a next-generation prospect in alpine disciplines.
MBC's Radio Star, airing at 10:30 p.m. on the 25th (planned by Chey Yoon-chung / directed by Yoon Hye-jin, Hwang Yun-sang, Byeon Da-hee), is presented as a special titled "Olympic star stories_Choi final completion" featuring Choi Min-jung, Kim Gil-li, Kim Sang-kyum and Yu Seun-geun.
Yu Seun-geun, who raised the profile of Korea's alpine disciplines worldwide, said, "Big air is an event where you use a jump equivalent to the 15th floor of an apartment, a 40m-high ramp, perform aerial tricks and land, and the core is composing a performance in your own style," vividly conveying the unique appeal of big air.
She shares how her daily life changed after winning the bronze medal. After returning to school, even friends and academy teachers asked for her autograph, an episode of surging popularity that drew laughter.
She also revealed the behind-the-scenes of carefully crafting her signature with her coach. Unlike in the past when she only wrote her name because she had no signature, she proudly showed a new signature that perfectly reflects her charm and compared before and after the signature creation, bringing laughter.
She then performed a dance that captured the unrestrained energy on the snowy slopes, instantly lifting the studio atmosphere. With a powerful performance 180 degrees different from her shy first impression, she displayed a surprising charm that drew everyone's admiration.
In particular, Yu Seun-geun tossed a cute provocation at short track skaters Choi Min-jung and Kim Gil-li, saying, "Ice team training isn't even training," which reportedly flipped the set upside down. As a result, a subtle rivalry between the ice team and the alpine team unfolded, heating up the recording atmosphere.
