Actor Baek Seong-cheol has been confirmed to appear in ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'To You, Dream' and continues his rising trajectory.
ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'To You, Dream' (directed by Yoo Seon-dong, script by Jeong Eun-bi, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Contents Planner) is a romantic comedy that depicts the aftermath of the reunion between genius film director Woo Su-bin (played by Hwang Inyoup), who achieved his dream and returned, and livelihood-driven reporter Joo I-jae (played by Lee Hye-ri), who lives having forgotten her dream. Director Yoo Seon-dong of the "The Uncanny Counter" series and writer Jeong Eun-bi, who participated in "Mr. Sunshine" and "Goblin", have joined forces to raise expectations.
Baek Seong-cheol plays the role of 'Shim Yoo-geon' in the drama, presenting a new face. 'Shim Yoo-geon' is a bit-part actor in Korea who dreams of becoming the next Geum Seong-mu and is holding on in Seoul. Even amid the reality of having to worry about making a living after coming from the provinces, he is a character who does not give up acting; he has endured with the belief that "effort does not betray," but as time passes he faces shrinking opportunities and the anxiety of "a dream past its sell-by date." Baek Seong-cheol is expected to draw viewers' sympathy by portraying the inner life of a wavering youth with restrained yet realistic acting.
In the drama "Inspector Koo," Baek Seong-cheol left an impression as the 'Santa' character, the keyring man of Koo Gyeong-i (played by Lee Young-ae), and in "Tell Me That You Love Me" he garnered attention for his intense gaze and emotional acting while portraying Cha Jin-woo in his 20s. Since then, he expanded his acting spectrum by taking the lead role of 'Oh Chan-hwi' in "Brewing Love," adding bright and cheerful charm, positioning himself as a next-generation rising actor.
