Singer and actor Yook Sungjae transforms into a younger man.
Yook Sungjae will appear as Han Seonwoo in SBS's new drama Nine to Six, set to air in the second half of 2026 (directed by Lee Hyung-min, Oh Song-hee / written by Choi Ji-o / produced by Studio S, Samhwa Networks).
Nine to Six is a realistic, relatable office romance drama about Kang Iji, the rational legal team vice administrator (Park Minyoung), the warm-hearted intern Han Seonwoo, and Deputy Minister Park Hyuntae (Go Soo).
In the drama, Yook Sungjae plays Han Seonwoo, an intern in the legal team at Chronic Motors. Han Seonwoo is a character who earns trust within the team through quick judgment and diligence. In particular, Yook Sungjae will show the ideal example of a younger boyfriend rarely seen in real life, shaking the heart of workaholic Vice Administrator Kang Iji.
Last year Yook Sungjae delivered a standout dual role performance in SBS's The Haunted Palace, winning the top acting award at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards and demonstrating solid acting chops. He was later chosen as the promising male actor to lead 2026 at the 2026 Korea First Brand Awards, highlighting his unique presence. Having shown a new face in every project, attention is focused on the transformation Yook Sungjae will present in this romance.
Meanwhile, Yook Sungjae will meet viewers with SBS's Nine to Six in the second half of 2026. Prior to that, he continues activities with the group BTOB, demonstrating his versatility as the "hexagonal all-rounder." BTOB recently celebrated their 14th anniversary by releasing the new song "Uri Dasi," which has been well received.
