Singer Hong Ji-yoon looked back on her run on "King of Singers 3" and previewed her performance in the "Korea-Japan king of singers battle."
Hong Ji-yoon appeared on MBN's "News Fighter" that aired on the 23rd with the "King of Singers 3" TOP7 members.
When asked how she felt meeting fans first after winning "King of Singers 3," Hong Ji-yoon said, "I am so grateful. They have quietly supported me since my debut until now, and they were all so happy as if it were their own success. I was very happy to have given these people a small happiness. Seeing them cry filled my heart."
Hong Ji-yoon cited the semifinal round 2 "flip one Korea-Japan death match" as the memorable stage on "King of Singers 3." Hong Ji-yoon said, "I remember the stage that mashed up the Korean folk song 'Baetnorae' and the Japanese folk song 'Soran Bushi.' Even before entering 'King of Singers 3,' it was my dream to exchange music between countries and make it into a single stage, so being able to achieve that dream made it stay with me for a long time."
Regarding her decision to donate the 100 million won prize, Hong Ji-yoon said, "Our elders like trot and love us, and I decided to donate wishing that they live long with trot." She added, "It has not been 45 days since the win, so it is before the deposit. I will donate as soon as I receive it."
When asked by a viewer, "What dream did you have the day you became the king of singers?" Hong Ji-yoon replied, "I usually dream a lot, but I actually did not dream that night. Because it was different from usual, I was hopeful that what I longed for might come true." To those who dream of becoming trot singers, she encouraged, "I haven't lived a long life, but life doesn't go as you wish. Still, if you don't shrink back and study and work on yourself, when opportunity comes you can produce results."
As the representative of the "TOP7," Hong Ji-yoon also shared her feelings and determination ahead of the "Korea-Japan king of singers battle." She said, "Because it's a Korea-Japan battle, passion and motivation run deep in our hearts, and we will do our best so we can win." Along with this, Hong Ji-yoon also promoted the "King of Singers 3" national tour concert, raising expectations.
Meanwhile, Hong Ji-yoon won MBN's "King of Singers 3" and became the third King of Singers. The "King of Singers 3" TOP10 Seoul concerts will be held at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the 28th and 29th, two performances each day, and will proceed as a national tour starting in Seoul.
